About

Founded in 2019 by Aly Kamadia, Intellectual Dose is a registered Canadian NGO dedicated to the pursuit of public enlightenment. iDose Magazine is its online publication, which serves as a bridge between the world of the academy and the curiosity of the public.

We believe that education should not be confined to the halls of universities and colleges. By featuring a diverse array of contributors – ranging from Nobel Laureates to former heads of state – we provide our readers with expert perspectives on global affairs, philosophy, health, and science.

At iDose, we are dedicated to free speech and intellectual pluralism, while remaining allergic to fake news. We invite you to explore our latest intellectual doses on our homepage, and feel free to check out Aly Kamadia’s Founder’s Promise.

Frequently questions and answers

Intellectual Dose is a registered Canadian NGO dedicated to public education. In a world increasingly saturated with propaganda and misinformation, iDose Magazine serves as our primary platform for sharing credible knowledge and analysis, sparking curiosity, and providing a source you can truly trust.

We release articles, essays, book reviews, and excerpts once to twice a week, typically anytime between Monday and Thursday (EST). Readers are encouraged to subscribe to our free iDose Newsletter, which is sent out by our Editor-in-Chief, Aly Kamadia. You may unsubscribe at any time and no credit card information is needed.

You can click here for our sign-up form. Alternatively, there are usually sign-up forms within articles and a link on our footer (bottom) menu. Please note that if you have any issues signing up (e.g., technical), you can contact us through our contact form.

We generally do not accept unsolicited work, but we are open to unique pitches. Instead of sending a full article, please submit a pitch through our contact form with the subject line “Submission.” To ensure a timely review, please do not submit the same idea more than once.
