Dear Readers,
The holidays are right around corner, and reading is certainly not a priority for many of us. In fact, I don’t know anyone who doesn’t enjoy temporarily escaping from the real world. One fun way to do so is entertaining yourself with a Hollywood classic.
Before I mention two that I’ll be catching during the holidays, a quick word about our final issue for the year.
We’ve got two Nobel Prize winning economists commenting on progressive politics in the US and the topic of globalization (respectively). Two other experts comment on popular Covid Myths, while a former Secretary of Labor and scholar summarizes how Corporations took over America.
Finally, yet another eminent scholar comments on the anti-democratic and sad man known as Elon Musk.
For those of you who think Elon Musk is cool (or don’t), you really ought to introduce yourself to someone who has an actual personality, like Carlito Brigante.
Even if you’ve already seen the 90’s Al Pacino flick titled, Carlito’s Way, it’s a timeless classic for those who enjoy a crime drama with an engaging storyline.
And well, if you’re one of those hardcore Elon Musk fans because of Tesla (or not), and you’re in the mood to binge watch a fun Sci-Fi trilogy, you’ve got to go Back to the Future. The famous director Quenton Tarantino recently called the movie “perfect”, and it’s hard to disagree (so long as the genre speaks to you).
Thanks for the enormous support, happy holidays, stay safe and see you in 2023!
